Whilst designing prints, Karolien focuses on structures and rhythm. She works in layers by placing prints on top of each other and loves subtle colour transitions. A large (digital) archive of prints, which Karolien has built since 1990, is being used for all kinds of applications: shawls, curtains, wallpaper and illustrations.
