Karolien van Mensvoort’s textile products can be either hand- or machine made. Regardless of the production method, all her work is immediately recognizable and carries her unique signature. Her ‘one-off’s’ are created using her own home-made, handspun and hand-twisted yarns. This results in a starting point for new developments. She loves to focus on details and craftmanship and always keeps the eye focused on the overall shape and design. What she creates retains its purest form: a plaid, a rug, a shawl or a cushion.
